BORDER (DE)FENCE
Description One steel building for two think tanks.
Tijuana and San Diego are two border cities that have become interdependent of one another. This has occured through the surrounding factories called Las Maquilladoras and the malls that are directly across from the factories. Due to the increase in foot traffic most daily travelers cross for work or those who visit to experience culture. A similar situation has gone under way where two cities become stronger due to proximity, these cities are Vancouver and Seattle. This strategy has driven a morphology of steel where long spans may provide an advantage for Tijuana and San Diego that may share a common space for education and culture.
